Sharon, any jewelry can be recycled a few times, if you're so inclined. The stones can be removed from the rings (if the rings are gold or silver they can, of course, be melted down & re-cast into a different piece [broach, necklace, etc]). Likewise, the gemstones can be put in settings of any of these, and you can wind up with some truly beautiful and interesting new pieces to wear for a while.
