Before Hubby and I married we were on our way to a concert and had borrowed my parents car, 72 Dodge Demon. The key ring we had didn't have the gas key on it. We were supposed to put gas in the tank, but thought we might make it down and back, no such luck. We ran out and since we didn't have a gas key, Hubby hiked to the nearest phone, including climbing over a fence, to call my parents for a gas key and a little gas to get us to a station. We were going to go to dinner before the concert, but had to wait until after. You can be certain that we asked if: 1. There was sufficient fuel in the vehicle or 2. If the gas key is on the key ring were are handed. This is also something we make certain of when we loan our vehicle to our kids for any purpose.
