    3. Please keep us posted on your daughter, Evie! Good wishes & thoughts heading out to the folks in OK. Best, SueB http://www.cdbaby.com/suegilmore ----- Original Message ----- From: shadlock To: BLACKSHEEP-CHAT-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, 08 May, 2003 7:13 PM Subject: [BSChat] another tornado hits Ya'll please say a prayer and send some good wishes to the people of Ok. City and Moore Ok. This is the second time in a four year period they have been hit. The last one was the largest ever in the state and they are now thinking this one will compare greatly to it. My child lives in one of the neighborhoods hit and I cannot reach her. I am watching the helicopter pics and I am stunned......again. I am hoping she was at work in Norman, Ok. They are asking that we not use the cell phone as the emergency forces need the signals and all major highways are closed to traffic so I cannot go. This tornado hit at five o'clock rush hour traffic and the devastation resembles Bagdhad in some places. I should think worse as this was a general target for a huge, uncontrollable force of nature. I just can't believe it. Fortunately they had notice, those on the road were not so lucky. So far, no deaths tho many injuries. 3. I am glad that the sun was out here in Huntsville, Alabama-- my yuard man got my grass cut. Probably will grow faster now that it has rained and stormed so long and more is expected. Now I have to find someone to repair a leaking livin room ceiling and a leaky roof. If is isn,t one thing with my family-- ten more are awaiting around the corner, one of my daughters and I spent the night at the Emergrncy room Easter Friday night. my 28 year old son, has two inoperable brain tumors had a really bad seizure. And he cannot remember anything that happened which may be a blessing from God to lessen his pain. But he is better but will never be 100 % better. Now other problems pop up!! Work tomorrow-- bedtime now!!!

    3. Ardmore, Ok. This is not new to us be we have had a break that last couple of years. Got too comfortable with the peace I guess. More of the same today. It is so wierd, I never worried until i bought a trailer. I actually bought the property and wanted to build a house and live in the trailer while doing so. Good thing I have a cellar. Keep safe yourself! Hope Air Force bases are safe. My oldest just went to tech. school in Ms.........get this........for meteorology LOL! Evie Thanks, all is safe here so far. I would still rather lose my stuff if I was predestined to lose it in a fire (with no harm to living bodies). I have picked up the pieces from a tornado before and it is awful. You get to see the ruin more clearly. With a fire you can doze it over and start anew. My friends lost a lot of photos in the storm several years back, the rest of their stuff was wet and molded and smelly. It was then I decided that a fire would be better to pick up after. Days of intense heat and humidity and picking up clothing , furniture, pics that would never make it . What we did discover was a two gallon pickle jar my friends had on their porch had been sucked into the ground, the lip was flush with the earth AND IT WAS NOT BROKEN. Just like it screwed itself down or was deliberately buried there. An old bathtub was found across the highway and some of their bills and pics were up to two miles away. Totally wild. The trend seems to be to breed them with thoroughbred to get a finer boned, very large animal - and I must say they do make striking dressage horses. I thought we'd have to get a stepladder for momma, Skye. This baby was so tall she had to bend really far to eat. <g> P
