Vivian, Do you live in Ga.? I was born in Cordele, Ga. in Crisp Co. My younger brother was born in Vienna, Ga. in Dooly Co. Most of my ancestors are from that area and also Pulaski Co. Dave, I, too like clover. I don't mind the dandilions as they are a lovely gold. I also like my old pasture rose that I got years ago from the road shoulder. and my favourite choice for lawns is clover seed. Although it dies with dandelion killer, it only grows so high and fights weeds for the space. Wifey thinks it looks awful, but to me, green is green And a happy fourth of July to some of the sheepers. You could visit Toronto now, it's "safe" up here :)
(Saw on another List) As this poem says: It's nice to come from gentle folk Who wouldn't stoop to brawl, Who Never took a lusty poke At anyone at all! Who never raised a raucous shout At any country inn, Or calmed an ugly fellow lout With a belaying pin! Who never shot a revenuer Hunting for a still, Who never rustled cattle and agreed with Uncle's will! Who lived life as they ought without uncouth distraction, And shunned like leprosy a thought of taking legal action! Its nice to come from gentle folk Who've never known disgrace, But oh, though scandal is no joke Its far easier to trace. Author Unknown (but it is so true)
