    3. The pain medication (patch) that killed A.J. was FENTANYL. Charlotte just got the certified autopsy report. Has anyone heard of it, used it, know anything about it? (They also found a tiny cancer on his liver...so he would have faced that down-the-road). Jan C.

    3. Jack, sorry about that, I just could not resist, Ok so I have a dirt track mind, I admit that quite freely! >Too bad the mama didn't leave years ago before Kade got to know her.< My kids dad has crawled from under his rock, after 6 years, and boy does the sun shine right out of his Ass, to my kids, well it did for a week or so, and to my daughter he is the DB's, sometimes it really can be better for the kids f the parent never comes back after leaving from the childs life from an early age, but chances are when Kade grows up she will either not have a bar of "mama" or she will want to know her, want to know why she left "her", much as you have mom and dad to Kade as I have been to mine, the "real" thing can often have an appeal we just can't understand, All you can do, is like I am doing gritting my teeth and bearing it! for the sake of my kids, as I know in my heart that when they have kids of their own, they will see things very differently, and they will know that a parent is not someone wo turns up now and again with pressies and stupid excuses! hang in there buddy Mellie IBSSG How Come My Coat Of Arms has Ties At The Back? 3. Let me try to address this DNA from hair topic as best I can...hair can be broken down as to cellular structure, hue, etc., but technically once it pushes through the scalp it is "dead". No ladies, don't condemn me for saying it that way...it's not an insult. But the gradual cellular decay over time, combined with efforts to maintain cleanliness (well...let's at least HOPE the effort is made), is ultimately going to end with trimming, due to split ends. For a DNA sample to be taken, it can be from any tissue which has not ossified (that word isn't truly what I'm trying for, since that means turning to either bone or stone [which most people would call petrified]), but I think you will get the idea. It does, as Jan said, have to come from some at least RELATIVELY soft tissue. Bone marrow works centuries later, quite often. However, I certainly don't advocate exhumation of all buried bodies to obtain DNA specimens. But hair falls into the same category as finger or toe nails...they can be analyzed for chemical & cellular makeup, but not DNA...they're dead when they emerge from the skin. 3. The Army used to do a DNA test and put it in your medical record. They took a small swab with small bristles on it and rubbed it down the inside of your cheek, your mouth cheek, for you sheepers with the quick whit. One swap for each cheek. Then sent to the lab. Results came back on where the DNA was stored. This was to ID the bodies if there wasn't anyother way to identify them. Whitewolf ----- Original Message ----- From: "J. 3. Family is everything to me also. My Granny whom I loved dearly used to say whatever didn't kill you made you stronger. Kade and you will be stronger, this will not kill you, and together you will get through it. She is a very lucky young lady to have someone who loves her so much. I don't think the Jack of today would ever just chuck it and take off. Whitewolf > Well, Whitewolf, life can make you or break you. I hope, whatever life I have lived, that it has made me. A guy from Arkansas who doesn't put on airs and cares about people. Look around on the net. I bet you'll find an address for him somewhere, perhaps under 'celebrity addresses'. The same day you mail a copy to him, mail a copy to yourself, return receipt, with a date stamp from the postmaster/clerk, so there's never any question of authorship. 3. Jack, is there any woman in Kade's life that she can look up to as a mom-figure? One more stable than her real mom? I know it's not the same, but it might help fill the void. Would it help if you told Kade that it's ok to tell her mom just how she feels, not just a good-bye? Why bottle all that up? If Kade feels like she's about to be 'abandoned' by her mom, that seems like a lot not to be talking about. As for pulling up stakes and moving, that doesn't really sound like a bad thing to me. Isn't it time for a fresh start somewhere? You aren't the same man you were 30 years ago, but it seems like the place you're living treats you like you are--or worse yet, like the man they thought you were. You deserve better. I wasn't done knowing my mother and there she died on me ! Yes, I realize Kade has erected a defense mechanism about her mama and there is really nothing I can do about it except be there for her. I worked so hard to try and make a family for Kade's sake, putting up with everything from fit throwing to attempted murder on her part, and it was all for nothing. 3. For the past week I have been going through an acute attack of arthritis in my right arm, specifically in wrist. It made it almost impossible to type, shave, pick anything up, or even turn the key in my car ignition. I would try to do something and the pain would be so bad it would make me cry. Finally got to see my doctor last night (his office is only open from 5 pm to 8 pm) and he prescribed Feldene. After two pills the pain is gone. I can still feel a certain tightness in the movement of my wrist, but the searing pain is gone. I have had a touch of arthritis all of my life but never that painful. On another front, still aches and pains, Kade's mama is flying to Florida today. She says is only going for a visit, but neither I nor Kade believe that. She has packed all her favorite things and gave the rest away, cut all ties to people she knows, said her permanent goodbye to friends, etc, so it sounds to me like she is going to get down there and stay . She has done me so many bad turns I won't miss her, but for what she will be doing to Kade I will never forgive her. Kade told her goodbye last night and this morning Kade won't even go say goodbye again, said she done said her goodbye.
