Yes, I have been appointed Kathleen's legal guardian by a district court. But remember, she is simply going to Florida supposedly to visit her other, older children. If she does not return to Oklahoma I will file the appropriate reports with the court and let matters take their natural course. If she plans on staying in Florida one of the first things she will do is contact Social Security Administration and attempt to have her SSI transferred to some other payee. In that case SSA will contact me and I will deal with that situation as it comes up. As it stands right now her check comes to a bank account here in OKC. If she does attempt to change payees I will not fight it. Let her big daddy in Florida handle it from now on out. I really don't know what the court will think and say about her going out of the jurisdiction, which is permissible, but if she don't return to this jurisdiction I don't know what the court could do about it. The court's jurisdiction ends at! the state line, and I have been told before that if she escapes this jurisdiction I would have a battle on my hands getting her back. At any rate, it will prove an interesting situation. As far as my getting into trouble over her actions, I doubt it. The judge has told me before that I had to maintain her in the least restrictive manner possible, that I cannot chain her up or keep her a prisoner in a house. If her escape to Florida is seen by the judge as a harm to society I suppose he can order her back to Oklahoma and put her in a home somewhere, but he will have to do that instead of me. Jack and Sheepers, The subject of capital punishment has come up here in the past, with some very strong feelings expressed both ways. Sounds like you had minimal control over her. One of those situations where they found her to be unable to take care of herself but found by the court not to be a threat to society. Well, at least FL is warmer for her, if she's taking her clothes off again somewhere... <g> Her life isn't going to change, no matter where she is. Unfortunately for all. He said it to hurt Mellie, directly and indirectly, through the kids, trying to undermine her in their eyes, think less of her. It's a diversion. He knows what he is. Wants to try to make Mellie look bad some how. Looks like he has to stretch a long ways, the SOB. I had an ex like that, too. Didn't care what he had to say to make me look bad, and didn't care how much it hurt the kids. Mine told my youngest, my son, that I didn't earn any money at work. So, one day he asked me why I go to work and leave him with someone else if I don't make any money. I don't think I ever hated anyone before I heard that. <ScismGenie@aol.com> wrote.... > I am thinking a Veternarian would certify the removal of the sample was from the specified horse. > Probably with two witnesses to certify it was so.< Nope! Neither are required. In fact, in a situation like that, how is the vet to know if the horse is legit unless he is personally acquainted with the animal? Part of the 'insurance' here is that when the registration & DNA typing is submitted, there is an area on the registration where the horse's markings have to be illustrated in detail in 4 different views on the horse diagram that is a part of the application. When the reg. app. is processed and the final papers come back, the markings are printed out on a horse diagram that appears on the official registration, again in 4 views (front, back, left & right). This application and diagram will follow the registered animal the rest of it's life through however many owners so it's very important to get the diagram of the markings correct from the get-go! ;-) The Pinto, The Buckskin, The International Barb and the American Indian Horse registries all require photographs of the horse from the 4 different angles and these are attached to the final registration papers. No bloodtesting or DNA typing here... yet. The Racking Horse and other specific breeds require bloodtesting, drawn by a licensed veterinarian and submitted with the registration application. And those are the only breeds that I can attest to with any degree of personal knowledge. There... more than anyone wanted to know about registration requirements for horses! :-) Best, SueB

<<It is not my position on this earth to cause those friends and family members sorrow for the passing of their despicable loved one.>> Don't you think their heartbreak started with the crimes, not the punishment--if they have more conscience than their despicables? Are we, as a society or individuals, responsible for the poor choices made by those who decide to waste their emotions on murderers and rapists and child molesters? And are their misguided emotions supposed to be more important to our judges and juries than what is best for the rest of us who are stuck with the bill for keeping those dispicables alive? Perhaps those misguided ones would like to pay the bill for keeping the dispicables alive for an unknown number of years. I wonder if they're willing to invest their retirement money or their kids' education money in those dispicables. As it is, we all share that bill. And the money that goes there is money not spent on something else more worthwhile than dispicables who didn't care who they hurt--victims or relatives or misguided friends alike. ----- Original Message ----- Subject: E-mail An unemployed man is desperate to support his family. His wife watches TV all day and his three teenage kids have dropped out of high school to hang around with the local toughs. He applies for a janitor's job at a large firm and easily passes an aptitude test. The human resources manager tells him, "You will be hired at minimum wage of $5.15 an hour. Let me have your e-mail address so that we can get you in the loop. Our system will automatically e-mail you all the forms and advise you when to start and where to report on your first day." Taken back, the man protests that he is poor and has neither a computer nor an e-mail address. To this the manager replies, "You must understand that to a company like ours that means that you virtually do not exist. Without an e-mail address you can hardly expect to be employed by a high-tech firm. Good day." Stunned, the man leaves. Not knowing where to turn and having $10 in his wallet, he walks past a farmers' market and sees a stand selling 25lb crates of beautiful red tomatoes. He buys a crate, carries it to a busy corner and displays the tomatoes. In less than 2 hours he sells all the tomatoes and makes 100% profit. Repeating the process several times more that day, he ends up with almost $100 and arrives home that night with several bags of groceries for his family. During the night he decides to repeat the tomato business the next day. By the end of the week he is getting up early every day and working into the night. He multiplies his profits quickly. Early in the second week he acquires a cart to transport several boxes of tomatoes at a time, but before a month is up he sells the cart to buy a broken-down pickup truck. At the end of a year he owns three old trucks. His two sons have left their neighborhood gangs to help him with the tomato business, his wife is buying the tomatoes, and his daughter is taking night courses at the community college so she can keep books for him. By the end of the second year he has a dozen very nice used trucks and employs fifteen previously unemployed people, all selling tomatoes. He continues to work hard. Time passes and at the end of the fifth year he owns a fleet of nice trucks and a warehouse, which his wife supervises, plus two tomato farms that the boys manage. The tomato company's payroll has put hundreds of homeless and jobless people to work. His daughter reports that the business grossed a million dollars. Planning for the future, he decides to buy some life insurance. Consulting with an insurance adviser, he picks an insurance plan to fit his new circumstances. Then the adviser asks him for his e-mail address in order to send the final documents electronically. When the man replies that he doesn't have time to mess with a computer and has no e-mail address, the insurance man is stunned, "What, you don't have e-mail? No computer? No Internet? Just think where you would be today if you'd had all of that five years ago!" "Ha!" snorts the man. "If I'd had e-mail five years ago I would be sweeping floors at Microsoft and making $5.15 an hour." Which brings us to the moral: .......................... Since you got this story by e-mail, you're probably closer to being a janitor than a millionaire. Sadly, I received it also
