    2. Sharon Workman
    3. Linda and Sheepers, I lived through 12 years of Alzheimers with my dad, and now am in the sixth year of the same disease with my mom. If you would like to e-mail me and talk about it, please feel free to do so. Now that I am using my real name and not a screen name, I'm not comfortable talking about them (or me) in any detail on maillists. Sharon IBSSG

The problem with these things is that they jam up the servers, archives, and a lot of times we get MULTIPLE copies ( 7 of this last one). My answer Sorry I didn't know. Seems like everything I send to anyone is always wrong. OH well That is the way it goes. You let someone else send something and it is OK but everytime I send something and try to help it is always wrong. Looks like I would learn my lesson. Next time something is sent to me I will delete it. I know I am stupid so don't even answer this. I feel bad enough for sending it.

    1. [BSChat] Petition Alert from Sandra Riley
    2. Dear Friends, I have just read and signed the petition: Stop Snowmobiles in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks http://www.thePetitionSite.com/takeaction/496430415 Dear Friends: Did you know that Park Rangers must wear GAS MASKS in National Parks to protect themselves from snowmobile fumes. Did you know that buffalo must expend precious winter energy reserves running from the noise of snowmobiles. Did you know that National Park wildlife CAN'T wear gas masks or hide from noxious snowmobile fumes. http://www.care2.com/go/redirect/2/4156 I just sent a free letter to the National Parks Service urging them to support the proposed plan to phase out the environmentally destructive use of snowmobiles in Grand Teton and Yellowstone Parks. BACKGROUND: In November 2000, after a three-year public process that included 22 public hearings and over 65,000 public comments, the National Park Service issued a decision to phase out snowmobiles in Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks over a four-year period. The decision - based on a decade of scientific studies by university researchers and government agencies - found that snowmobiles are damaging the parks' wildlife, clean air, natural sounds and quiet, as well as the unique experiences that Americans expect to find in their national parks. http://www.care2.com/go/redirect/2/4156 TAKE ACTION: Public support for the phase out plan is the only way it will be implemented. Please support the Park Service's decision to phase out snowmobile use in Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks by signing the petition! http://www.care2.com/go/redirect/2/4156 It only takes a minute to help. And once you've done your part, please forward this message along to other friends and family members. We take so much from our environment; let's give something back. 3. It is 12:26 at night and I'm still up. I have been filing charges on my local neighborhood pervert. He pulled his clothes off in front of about 8-9 kids tonight, including Kade. We just got done with it all. The police said they couldn't arrest him tonight because there were some conflicting stories from the kids and would have to file a report and let the district attorney decide what to do. Yep, summer is coming on and he is gearing up to pull some more of his tricks. And I'm ready for him. Michael stated prior to his death that he was named for his father, who was born in Philadelphia Co, PA, 1742, and moved to NC. Obviously, his father couldn't have been 11 years old when he was born, but this is the only Michael Shuler b PA m Sophia Hittel that I've been able to locate who subsequently moved to NC. Michael died in VA 1862 after falling off the front porch (a distance of 2 feet), so his memory was probably the primary fault. I've always considered that his birth date (no documentation found) was probably 1769. 1. [BSChat] Poem
    2. A while back I mentioned that I would send one of my great grandmother's poems to this list. I just found one I have on a floppy. Aleta, IBSSG, Charter Member Bo-Peep Award Ogden, Utah, USA "God sent his Singers upon the Earth, With songs of Gladness and Mirth. That they might touch the hearts of men, And bring them to Heaven again." --Longfellow FRIENDSHIP by Mary Jane Tanner There is a magic in the name, A deep enchanting spell; That binds our hearts, and brings again From memories silent cell, The tender thoughts of days long past, Of love that we have known; Of joys that could not always last, And pleasures that have flown. There is a charm in friendship's smile, A light in friendship's eye: A tenderness that doth beguile Each hour that's passing by, Prints brighter hues on every flower, And makes the earth more fair. Casts o'er our hearts its magic power, And fondly centres there. Then who would pass through life alone, Mid darkness, care and gloom; Unsought, uncared for and unknown, Sink to memory lend; Of who would live uncared for here, Or die without a friend. **************

    1. [BSChat] This says a lot
    2. What has become of the word respect? Is there none left today? Is there nothing you would honor? If we were digging up your cemetary, What would you say? These bones of old may mean nothing to you. But herein resides our ancestors. Resting in these most sacred sites. We are here as their protectors. You say these roads and stores are progress. But it is not thru your cemetary you cross. Your people lie in complete rest. Ours is not your loss. You have driven us from our lands before. This we knew would be. Can we not finally be at peace? Is there nothing Holy you can see? Look into your hearts this day. And all the others to come. What will you see within? What are you to become? This greed of man is an evil thing. But seems to rule your heart. Its never too late to make a change. Now's the time to start. Stop the destruction of our people, our lands. Stop and close this door of sin. Let us all gather to pray. It is time for a new day to begin. Have you not seen within yourselves. The destruction you have wrought. Only in the name of progress. For roads to be made and gee gaws can be bought? Our people wish only to live in peace. And honor how we were taught. To show respect for all things. Its so little the things we've sought. There's been enough of hate and greed. New seeds must now be planted. But through these deeds like this you do. Taking this thing called progress for granted. We gave and gave and had more stolen. Just to please this greed. But now is the time to take a stand. And respect us in our need. These sites to us are still most Holy. And these bones that lie within. Show the respect you would like returned. Let the healing begin. The road we have traveled has often been hard. Your progress making it even more so. Remove us once again? We are saying, "NO!" >> How smooth must be the language of the whites , when they can make right look like wrong and wrong look like right Black Hawk
