    2. In a message dated 8/16/02 9:54:49 PM Central Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: << The reason for the banning is a refusal to obey the OFF-Topic rules of the list. Much of the activity that led to this action occured OFF-List, but the group acted in unison to violate the ON-list restrictions, and has been acting as a disruption since last month. >> This action of unsubscribing "regular posters" to this list really does sound extravagant to me. I failed to notice any disruption to this list until I asked to have the "mystery" cleared up and only ONE person answered me on the list. Many eagerly enlightened me and cleared up my confusion OFF-list. Should I, therefore not be one of the persons you remove? In light of the fact that you object to the breaking of your rules "OFF-List" I will unsub myself. Rather than protection of the list by removing ONE person, the sole disrupter, you choose to remove a group of regular posters? That reminds me too much of ethnic cleansing and gas chambers. Why is it a problem for you to have members communicate "OFF-List" on topics that you consider to be "Off-Topic" on list and you consider personal correspondence to be a violation of your rules? That borders on tyranny to eliminate members, who are adults, because you do not approve of what they do in personal correspondence that occurs "OFF-List." No one is safe from your removal unless they obey your rules in all of their correspondence both on and off list? I think not. I refuse to be intimidated by a paranoid demigod even on a genealogy list. Hitler started out that way. I'm sure you will not approve of my writing this but you sound dangerous, brother, dangerous and those who do not stand up to you now will be slaughtered when their sins of thinking for themselves are discovered. Hitler let his paranoia destroy himself and millions of Jews. Is this not the same? Joe Douglas

    3. For any of you who may have sent me an email in the last week or so, please be aware that my CPU had it's memory completely scrubbed by a so-called tech support specialist (and they had the nerve to charge me $30 for loosing over 40 years of research), and I'm still in the process of getting everything back. I can't get my DSL back, because the "idiot" fried my DSL modem. I just got my email back today (all that was in there when they scrubbed the hard drive is gone), and had 700 msgs in front of me. After deleting the "spam", I still have 543 to look at. I will get there, but if I owe anyone a response, be aware that it may take me a while. Mike, IBSSG

    3. My son was diagnosed with ADHD when his teacher sent a note home saying that he does his work real fast and then does something else, more fun. She suggested he may be ADHD and I should go get him tested. I did, he was, the Dr wanted to medicate him, we did , I didn't like how it made him, so we took him off it, I know I have told this before, We did all the home grown, homemade food, no perseveres and it worked. We also went back to the teacher and had a polite discussion with her and suggested to her that she has things for him to do when he finished his work. She did, it changed my son's attitude. He didn't want to go to school, now he did. I bless that teacher to this day for her ability to think out of the box. That was 30 years ago.
