I think that our research would be easier for all of us if we were all a little more helpful to others like that. Keep up the good work! Best, SueB
not much chat going on here since i came back after the summer. I got a real "kick" last week. Since someone had sent me Jpegs of GGGgm graves over in Wales, I figured it was time to put a little back into a study where so many others have been so helpful to me. So i dropped into a few of the thousands of closed church graveyards around where i live, and posted surnames to a "canada-graves" Rootsweb Forum. Four people e-mailed me asking for grave transcriptions. And one in particular sent a name and dates, so when i walked up to that gravestone, i knew that it was the requester's gg-gf. And was able to copy about eight related names from nearby stones,. as well as send a JPG from my cheap digital camera. But the EUREKA feeling is really something to enjoy, even when it's not my own line.
Will miss you whitewolf. Have enjoyed our conversations. Bettye

BlankTomorrow, Monday, is my first day back to school this quarter. I will be lurking occasionally, and I just might respond, but don't hold your breath. In compiling information from various sources about my family, I have found a number of marry-backs-situations where the family doesn't branch but merges-and the same last name on both sides of my lineage at least five times. No direct connections just yet but that will come eventually, I have no doubt. Calvin B. Littlefield, IBSSG If Pinoccio sat on a wooden bench, would he get splinters or leave them...?

Hello list~ I have been having my 92 year old Grandfather 'Big Al' talk with me about his younger years. He was a member of the Circuit Chautauqua back in the early 1930s. I have found this topic very interesting lately, and found an interesting sight if anyone else have relatives who were involved in this. Click here: Traveling Culture: Circuit Chautauqua in the Twentieth Century (American Memory, Library of Congress) SoCalCyndy~IBSSG "One day you'll have kids and I hope they act just like you!" Hello.......oooo.........oooo........... Testing, be patient.......
Indeed I am lucky to have Keith, my husband also feels the same. I was a little concern at first as my daughter has more education, and is a registered nurse, but she couldn't have found a better guy anywhere. That guy needs to be cloned. He loves his family, and is very special to us and them. He's really a handyman also, and has great talent. I think he inherited some traits from his late father who died at 36 with a heart attack. My daughter keeps a good check on Keith with his blood pressure, etc. I also have two precious grandchildren they have given me. Bettye Bettye
Betty You are indeed lucky to have a son-in-law as wonderful as he sounds.
