    1. Re: [BSChat] Thanks Rhonda
    2. Thanks Rhonda I will. He goes Tuesday, the day before his bithday for the mammogram. It will probably be a few days before we hear. I am wondering also, what it could be. Men over 65 years of age are more likely to get breast cancer, and it is bothering us both. Am going deep sea fishing in the morning for some relaxation. Thanks Rhonda, Bettye

I also gave them the web site of our Fl Garden Clubs wildflower projects. Keep up the good work Jeff. Bettye

    1. [BSChat] For Bettye
    2. Good morning from Burbank! Bettye and Jeff, I know that these viruses are not your fault. Bettye, please do not feel that you are being blamed by me or anyone else on the list. Everyone is just trying to alert the other listers of how it LOOKS when it is coming through. I have McAfee and I ran a scan and am clean! I was very curious as to why Jeff would email me individually, when I saw the subject I was very suspicious (it said 'idiot children'?) as I doubt he would write that. I quickly checked my DIGEST form of the list and saw the warning of the virus. I recognized BETTYBOAT, but wouldn't expect an email from her either, so... I scanned away. A big hug to all of us for surviving yet another crisis! I love this list! Cant scare me off that easily! SoCalCyndy proud to be IBSSG

    1. [BSChat] viruses and their size
    2. Dave Tompsett
    3. Look at the SIZE of the last digest from Black-Sheep. It was 14K and there was a fair bit to read. You should look at the size of your incoming messages. If one says 51K or 62K, the next question is: Do you swap e-mail with anyone that long-winded? (A cleric occasionally sends me sermons) If not, then you have to beware the attachment. You can right-clik on the e-mail entry, and save it to a file for opening off-line after scanning with your virus software. And NEVER open an attachment with two-dots. like "nudehottie.jpg.scr" They WILL attack your system.

    3. Funny to read of your problems with buses. Busing is a royal pain in da grate wite nord, aussi. The boards of Ed. spend scads of cash on busses, and a lot of it is coddling, and duplication, with more than one bus using overlapping routes to get to the same school. Hope your kids' rides get sorted out.

    3. I'm with ya Dave!!!!!!! Hey, beware the viruses. BETTYBOAT and others with eatel.com have been hitting us. I found both today. It is not the person you think you know who is sending it, somehow our addresses have been utilized in this. Even if you know the first part of the sender, look carefully at the ending address too. I deleted mine (scanned too of course) and am clean, but just to be safe, scan and update if you haven't. Hope you've made some headway! > SB > > I was informed by Steven's Bus Driver this morning that she has been told thet she WILL pick steven up at our HOUSE instead of the Clubhouse. The second bus was "right on time" instead of being 15 minutes late, and I actually got Jimmy to school on time. The next phase he saisd was to get the kids to school in time for breakfast. After that he says he will find a way for Jimmy to be bussed from our Park instead of from a bus stop a mile from it. (I have been taking Jimmy to school daily). I had to explain to the superentendant several times that when the "Blue" track is OFF the busses stop coming for two of the kids. (My kids are on Three Tracks, Red, Blue, and Yellow). He stated he doesn't know why, but will investigate. He said that he will be out of town for several days and will order the "Special Services " to fix the problem. I told him that the "Special Services" were the problem. I also jumped all over him for a 2 month lack of response to my letters, and a failure to comply with the Federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section II.(ADAII) I also gave him a copy of a letter from the State Board of Education that interpreted the ADAII as requiring students with ADD/ADHD to be Bussed, with additional trained personnel ON the bus, from Door to Door. My wife and I explained that the situation was placing uncommon hardship on our family, and even though one of our sons is "Mobile" and can walk without problems, he is an "at risk" child, and due to failure to thrive we will not send him on a mile long walk to the Bus Stop by himself, on Route 66, during Rush hour. He also seemed to understand that I caould not physically take him, because of my disability, and that the current schedule required him to be on the Bus at the same time his twin is to be picked up a mile away. He says he doesn't understand why my older son is picked up at my home and HIS bus goes right past Elizabeth's school at the proper time for her to be there in time for Breakfast, and he doesn't understand why she isn't on it with him. (Steven is picked up at 6:30 AM) Over-all after two months of NO response, and finally I going into the School district offices and making a lot of Noise ( Security came and got me), something is finally moving. According to solarweather.com: "A solar wind shock wave (a coronal mass ejection hurled into space by an explosion near sunspot 134) swept past Earth on Sept 30th and triggered a moderate geomagnetic storm. One day later, on Oct. 1st, Earth entered a solar wind stream flowing from a coronal hole on the Sun. Solar wind gusts triggered a strong (G3-class) geomagnetic storm and widespread Northern Lights." We usually get 8 inches of rain by this time of the year and we have already had 12 inches. But othrwise our weather has been great, a beautiful fall. I still have Pansies and a couple of other flowers in bloom which is rare for the 1st of Oct in this part of Alaska. I even spread some grass seed over some fill dirt I had to add over my septic system today. But am afraid it's soon going to change as the weather man said snow above the 2,000 ft. level, so it won't be long now.., as that is getting pretty close to are 450 ft elevation and we're down to under 11 hiours of possible sunshine and losing around 7 minutes a day. i hate to see it come but that is part of what happens here, it just takes a while to get used to it. And in Jan. for my birthday I usually go to Hawaai for 2 or 3 weeks to lie on the beach and soak up some rays and then it isn't long till breakup. -- Wild Bill, North Pole, Alaska I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
