Surnames: Blackshear Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/1NE.2ACIB/1.91.137.1.2.1 Message Board Post: I am not familar with that lineage.....I even have a subscritpion to Ancestyry.com and could find nothing there either...she could have taken the slave owners surname or been a illegitimate child of a "master" named Blackshear...the ones that came to WV were not spelled in that manner, we have ours as Blackshire...they came from an area near PA....going back to England as their ancestry...wish I could help more...but I just don't have them in my info......Susan
