Hello All, On this list are there any African - Americans looking for their family in Louisiana? Plain Dealing to be exact. And perhaps somewhere in Georgia? I am in desperate need of assistance. My Great Grandfather was brought up in Plain Dealing, LA. I have been looking for his Parents for the pass five years. No luck. His name is John Wesley Blackston/Blacksher. He was born around 1846. Many different spelling on both names. I believe his parents' names could be John Wesley and Elizabeth but am not sure. Any assistance will be appreciated. TIA.
