Author: AnnetteLowe43 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.blackshear/150.154.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Don't know if you are still interested, but I am descended from Lovice Blackshear and Henry Dominy who were married on April 1, 1821 in Laurens County, Georgia. Before very long, they moved to Henry County, Alabama where they raised their ten children. In the late 1850s, three of their sons Alexander Blackshear, Frederick and Seaborn moved to Texas along with Lovice's two brothers Alexander and William Royal Blackshear. Two sons back in Alabama died in the 1860s. In 1870, another son Daniel Jasper went to Texas and in 1875, the last son Benjamin followed. Lovice moved with Benjamin. In subsequent years, most of the other descendents of Lovice and Henry relocated to Texas. All of them were in adjoining counties of Tyler, Trinity, Houston and Cherokee. Many are buried in the Pennington Cemetery in Trinity County, Texas including Lovice Blackshear Dominy. I have a file on the descendents of Henry and Lovice that I would be happy to send anyone.
