Hi list, My name is Bren and I'm researching the LEF(T)LEY surname. I have a John LEFLEY who marries Alice BLACKLEDGE 24th dec 1853 @ St George Chorley Lancashire, UK. John was age 30, and Alice was age 30. Alice's mothers name was Ann BLACKLEDGE. (John's father was Robert LEFLEY.) Then, 6 years later a Alice LEFLEY marries a Richard HART at the same church. Both bride and groom were previously married. Richards father was Peter HART. Alice's mother was again Ann BLACKLEDGE. Does anyone know of this Alice LEFLEY/HART nee BLACKLEDGE? would you agree that its the same Alice in both marriages, despite the discrepancy in age?
