My Grandfather was Thomas Blackburn Knox, born 1872 in Cahirconlish, Ireland. His father was Patrick Knox born in 1829 and mother was Anne Blackburn born in 1836. Her father was John Blackburn or Blackburne, mother was ( we only have as a Purcell. She was from Glenbrohane, do not have birth place of John.B. My Grandfather Thomas B. Knox came to USA when he was 16 on a ship alone, his older brother Patrick B. Knox was a priiest who lived out his life in Madison, Wisc. My Grandfather settled in Quincy, Ill. Became an MD and had 3 daughters, the oldest was my mother. There were a total of 12 Knox-Blackburn children of this union. I have all the names and also a baptismal record listing sponsors, the Blackburns listed on this list are: Maru & Wm. Blackburn, Ellen Blackburn and Phillip.
