    3. Barbara Your post of 21 January was not ignored. In fact, I couldn't believe what I was reading. To answer your questions, I do not have an exact dob of my Benjamin Blackburn. What I have is ca. 1798, due to his age on the 1850 Monroe Co. IN census (52) and the Brown Co. IN census of 1860, where he is shown as being 62 years old. So your date of 6/7/1798 is probably correct. The same with his place of birth, all I have is from the census that he was born in KY and I have not a clue as to where he died, only that they disappeared from the IN census before 1870. Only recently did I begin to wonder if they returned to KY, as I have followed three of their children to other states and found no trace of Benj. & Mary. The date of their marriage was found in two records from Nicholas Co., one giving the date as 10 Dec. 1819, the other was 16 Dec. 1819. Mary Hartley's dob is in question due to inconsistency in her age in census records. A book about her Father, Thomas Hartley of VA > Nicholas Co. gives the year of her birth as 1789, Berkely Co. VA. The daughter of Benjamin & Mary, Hannah, was my ggrandmother. Her death certificate says she was born "near Jacksonville, KY 21 Oct. 1828. There was a Jacksonville in Bourbon Co. at that time near Paris. To sum it up, I feel sure the information you have in your old file is that of my branch, and I am excited. Please e-mail me at [email protected] and we will go into this further. Thank you so much for your post. Keith
