Blackburn's wife's father (Daniel Sutton) in the Sampson County (Taylor's Bridge area), their children then are listed as Mahala 17, William 13, Elizabeth 7, and Adeline Blackburn 3. W. Blackburn never to be found again. I assume he died in the war. My ggrandmother was Adeline Blackburn (she married Frank Knowles). Throughout the years the spelling of Blackburn was often spelled "blackman" or "Blackmon" for some reason. This is all I know of W.
