My Blackburn interests primarily focus on Scotland and Canada, although one branch did eventually move to the U.S. Andrew Blackburn (1770-1855), and his wife Isabella (nee Lennox, 1775-1860) emigrated from the Kilbarchan Parish area (Renfrewshire) Scotland to the Ottawa Valley area of Quebec, Canada, in 1829. It is believed that all of his children came over between 1829 and 1842. Andrew's ancestors - parent's were Robert Blackburn & Jane Arthur (of Kilbarchan, married abt. 1755) - grandparents were Robert Blackburn (b. abt. 1698) & Agnes Blair (married about 1722/1723) Andrew's children included - James Blackburn (1799-1851) m. Elizabeth Campbell of Glasgow (1802-1875); Robert Blackburn (1797-1874) m. Robina Buchan of Cambuslang, Scotland (descendants of this branch exist in several states but majority were in Wisconsin); John Blackburn m. Ellen Smith; Andrew Blackburn (1834-1930); David Blackburn (1815-1899) m. Catherine Davis; Isabella Blackburn.
