    3. -----Original Message----- From: Walter Blackburn [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, February 08, 2000 11:02 PM To: [email protected] Subject: No relatives on BLACKBURN side I would like to jump in here with some information on some BLACKBURNs but if I have any relatives past my grandfather I have seen no reference to them by anyone. And for that matter no reference to him. My grandfather was William Richard (Dick) BLACKBURN b: May 1861 in VA d: Mar 17, 1917 Winnsboro, LA and is burried there in an unmarked grave. He married Emma Etta HAYS in Janssen (now Vandervoort, Polk County, AR) on Nov 3, 1898. He was a railroad engineer and it is rumored he put the first train over the tracks through my home town of Cove, AR. Since he was married in Polk County and the railroad came through there about that time, it may be true. My mother says he came there from IL or IN she thinks but is not sure. I read all that everyone is sending about BLACKBURNs but this one is different evidently. Anyway, Kay, you asked for us to contribute what we know and this is it for me. Wish it was more. Walter M.
