Appraisal of estate 1749 Winchester Co, VA; administrator was Margaret. 2nd generation:Martha Blackburn, b Apr 1741 VA, d 30 Apr 1818 Nelson Co VA, m 21 May 176 West Augusta Co VA to Col. James Rogers, b 3 Mar 1742/3 Lownenberg Co? VA, d 24 Mar 1828 Mercer Co KY. Martha had siblings: Arthur Blackburn, will 1782; William Blackburn, d 1780; George, will 1778; Margaret Blackburn m William Casey; Mary Blackburn m Mr. White. Birthdates unknown to me. 3rd generation: Evan Rogers, b 16 Sep 1722 KY? d 17 Jan 1854 Boyle Co KY, m 5 Nov 1795 Nelson Co KY to Sarah "Sallie" Braxdale (Barksdale). I have pp.29-31 from The Benjamin Blackburn Family and Notes on Blackburns in America by W. A. Challacombe (1942). I have been unable to work out a good family group sheet. From these pages I also find no connection to Benjamin Blackburn, the subject of the book.
