Children: (allegedly from a family Bible that I have never seen) Cynthia 20 May 1841 Franklin Co, IN John F 20 Feb 1844 Franklin Co IN (I think the Bible went down his branch) Andrew J 20 or 30 Oct 1845 Franklin Co IN m. Maria SMETZER in IN Thomas J 20 or 10 Jan 1848 Franklin Co IN, single at age 52 Perry C 4 or 8 Oct 1849 Franklin Co IN, single at age 50. Francis Lafayette 7 Jul 1853 or 55 IN, married Susan MULHALL 1870, d. 1927 IN. Listed in the IGI James M 15 Oct 1855/56 IN Mary E 20 Aug 1857 IN Elihu Merritt 20 Jun 1859 IN m. 24 Sep 1885 KS to Zerilda Caroline SMITH he d. 5 Jul 1910 CA (have lots more info on him as he is my 2G grandfather). George F 7 May 1862 or 7 May 1864 IN d. 11 May 1900 MO in the poor house Gallanding 7 May 1864 (no where does it mention twins so someone has copied the wrong date out of the "Bible"), he was still single at age 36. THEORY: Wm says his father b. in NC & mother in VA. He might be the son of John BLACKBURN & Jemima BO(U)LTON. Jemima was born in VA. This would make him a first cousin to his wife.
