As far as I know Joseph Blackburn was born in Co. Durham England aound the Tanfield area about 1792. He died in his 100th year at a place called The Hobson. I'm not certain of his place of birth but I am of his place of death. He had a daughter Isabella who married ?? Mordue. She was born in 1814 (have been unable to find her birth but have her death certificate which follows through on information I had received.) She died in 1914 in her 100th year around the Tanfield area. I would be most interested to hear of any Blackburns or Mordue's you have come accross in Co. Durham or neighbouring counties.
