Surnames: BLACKBURN & BELL Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SNE.2ACIB/1151 Message Board Post: These are my wife's relatives. The grandfather, Henry Blackburn, would have been born around 1860. He and his brother Douglas each had about 11 children (that I have found) and I have gotten the birth records and baptismal records for each of the 22 children from the LDS microfilms. The grandmother (Henry's wife) was Lillian Bell. I see her name on the birth records and I see vital records for her brother George Bell also from St. Patrcicks. I have no inofrmation about the parents of Henry and Douglas Blackburn or Lillian and George Bell. I do not know if they were born in Grenada. I really start to see information about them in the 1880s. I have also consulted the microfilms for wills and deeds. Douglas and his family stayed in Grenada where he died in 1931 at the age of 71 (which gives me an indication of the period of birth for both brothers). Henry, Lillian, and George move on to Tobago and finally to Trinidad -- leaving Grenada about 1917. Since they did move that I kno! w of during their lifetimes, I am wondering whether they were all born somewhere other than Grenada. Anyone familiar with these families??
