WillIam Maxwell Blackburn was a Presbyterian Minister who was a Professor at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, Ill and became President of two universities in the Dakota's. He married an Elizabeth Powell in 1864 and had four children Alice Catherine M. (probably Maxwell) Mary E. - all born in PA and Charles Stanley born in Ill. and my wifes grandfather. I would like to know who the daughters married and try to trace their families, if anyone knows. If any one knows of Elizabeth Powells family I would like to know that as well. I have found a Mary E. Blackburn with two land Grants in SD at the turn of the century. Perhaps she never married and lived with her father. I will ab ehappy to share my data on the William Maxwell branch. Thanks. Bob Hill
