Gail, I am at the point that I would take any suggestions on how to search, where to look and I would even try to stand on my head if I thought that might do anything except give me a broken neck. I wish that my Sabra was Sabra 'Belle' Gipson Blackburn. And am open to anything that points in that direction. As you know there were many William Blackburn's. The more famous group that lived at War Eagle had a brother William. I think he was living in Fayetteville in 1860. I can't remember but don't believe his wife was Sabra or I would have latched on to him. I can look it up if you need it. And as you also know Washington Co., AR and Lawrence Co., MO are not that far apart so we may have some interesting facts yet undiscovered here. Years ago, I thought this would be easy with a name like 'Sabra', well that joke was on me! Some of the other desc. of Wm. & Sabra may have to jump in here and keep me straight on this but, I think there was a theory promoted at one time that, Sabra's maiden name might be Bradford. I have never seen anything that would make me lean towards that as fact. I do feel it is a very strange "coincidence" that William & Sabra were living so near the War Eagle Blackburn's in 1860!! There may be a connection there that have been overlooked or just unproved. I could write a book here but, am sure the list members would not appreciate that so this is all for now. kay At 09:41 PM 11-12-99 , you wrote: >Kay or Others, > >If anyone knows of another William Blackburn who >happens to be married to a wife named Belle I'd sure >be interested to see that also!
