Benjamine, b. ca. 1798 m. Mary Hartley (dau. of Thomas & Eliz. Williams Hartley) in Nicholas Co. KY 10 Dec. 1819. They were in Monroe Co. IN in 1840 & 1850. The 1840 census indicates they had 4 boys & 2 girls. They are found in Brown Co. IN in 1860 near Bean Blossom. Known children, all b. KY: (1) John Nelson, 1824-1898, m. (1) Matida Thomas (2) Elizabeth Wooten, (3) Margaret J. Winkler. John & Margaret are both buried near Chanute, KS; they lived in Edgar Co. IL, Saline Co. MO, Carroll Co. IA, & Neosho Co. KS. They had a number of ch., including Benj. Taylor, Chas. Jasper, & Preston. (2) Hannah, 1828-1915, m. David Clemons Jackson; lived DeWitt Co. IL, Thayer & Red Willow Cos. NE. (3) Robert J.,1829-?, m. Mary Ann Bracken, Brown Co. IN; they had 5 or 6 girls and lived in Edgar Co. IL, Clark Co. MO, and Payne Co. OK. Daus., EvaLena m. John Wm Fox, Elk Co. KS & Caltha m. Wm. Palmer & lived in Payne Co. OK. (4) Nancy Eliz., 1833-1906, m. (1) Henry D. Bruner (Monroe Co. IN) & (2) Wm. J. Poling (Brown Co. IN) (5 & 6) Possibly William & Albert. Have not been able to trace Benjamine & Mary after 1860. I need help on when/where they died. I have a considerable amount of data to share.
