Sidney was born in India and is believed to have lived in/served in the military in Australia for a time. Sidney moved to England and married Florence (maiden name unknown) and had three children: Pam (deceased), Sidna (my grandmother, also deceased) and Joan. In reference to the money, there was a rumour of Sidney winning a tennis match against the prince of India, after which he recieved quite a large ruby which was stolen from his flat. Whether or not this story is true is debatable, but Sidney's parents were at least fairly well off.

They are 66 and 55 years old respectively and both were born in Stanhope. I can't be sure that they are Mary Ann Brunskill's parents though.
