He appears to be the one who married into my Blackburn line (Benjamin & Mary [Hartley] Blackburn). In a small book I have on Mary Hartley's family, it states that Robert West married Hannah Hartley April 16, 1829, probably in Nicholas Co. KY. They had seven children, including Isaac N West My line also had some connection with the McClanahans, but I haven't been able to figure out just what the connection is. If anyone can shed some light on this, I would appreciate it. E-mail is welcome.

William is purported to have been a Revolutionary War soldier. Does this info jive with yours? I have William as being March 4 abt. 1726-7 and dying April 1, 1782--all in SC apparently. I have Rachel (unknown) born March 3, abt. 1730-1 and dying Nov. 8, 1790. I would love to correspond with you. I would like to get back a few more generations. Can you help? I can get photos of the headstones of those Blackburns buried in this area.
