    3. --=======6939665B======= Content-Type: text/plain; x-avg-checked=avg-ok-7D3B3113; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit I asked for and received web space for a BLACKBURN researcher's web site. If you want to be listed then please use the following as a guide. (THIS IS THE ONLY INFORMATION THAT WILL BE POSTED) 1. Your Name, your email. 2. Your first Blackburn ancestor, date of birth & death with place, wife's name their children (this would be your brick wall ancestor) (if you have a web site your first ancestor's name will be linked to that URL.) 3. Your next Blackburn ancestor, date of birth & death, wife's name, their children. You can mark your direct line with superscript numbers. Example: Kay Griffin Snow <kgsno@microcore.net> William BLACKBURN (1), b. 1824, unk- d 1873 Lawrence Co., MO. md Sabra A. WATSON Chld: Nancy Elizabeth*; Thomas Winfield; etc. Nancy Elizabeth BLACKBURN (2), b 1848, unk - d 1920 Polk Co., MO. md William H. TRIMBLE Chld: Ida Cordelia; Charles Alva; Gilbert E; Mary Ella(3)*; Albert; Clara; Eugene For now let's stop at this point. We don't want so much information that visitors will not bother to read it. I will try to place the first ancestor in alphabetical order. DO NOT include living people, I can't put that information on the web site. I've been thinking about this for a long time and decided to go ahead, I just can't believe that every BLACKBURN ancestor was not related to any of the others!! Kay-- --=======6939665B=======--

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/SNE.2ACIB/1123 Message Board Post: Yes we did have something to do with England. This side of the family has/had money. Connie's dad was asked by telegram back in the 1900's that if he would come overseas to England and prove that he was the part of Blackburns in England than the monies would come back here with him. The only problem was that people were afraid to cross the seas at that era because of being killed on the seas. We had at least one if not two artist and that is part of the monies because their portraits are there hanging somewhere in England. Also there is, Connie wasn't real sure how true, but there is a Blackburn College named after our family also. We will start with grandma's first. Zella Blackburn was born 8-23-1909. She was the second child born to the Blackburns. The first was Emily Blackburn and after grandma was Hazel, and Mertal, and Iona, and Lizzie, another child no name and Newton and Wm. Blackburn. Aunt Emily married a Harold Strausser(?) and had 13 children which I thi! nk 3 children died. Grandma as you know married Leland Huston and had 5 children and Aunt Mertal married Wes Hamilton had 5 children. One of their 5 children never was married when he went to war during wwll and died as a pilot in the war. His name was Kenny Hamilton. Other children were Louise and Phylis,Beverly and Ada whom later married a Jackson. Now it will seem that I am going all over the place but I will try to straighten this out as I go along. James Franklin Blackburn born 8-26-1872 in Lexington KY and died 1-11-1955. Was Connie's dad. Now his dad whom was Joseph Blackburn married a Francis Bassett. They had two children and he decided to go back to England. He was an Artist, which is one of a few, after being gone for awhile Francis remarried and had some more children. Nothing else was said about her. Now Ada Jackson's husband I think was James Newton Jackson and he had a brother whom raced in INDY and his name was Lee Jackson and they called him Smile! y Jackson. He was a race car driver. He had 8 children but there was no names for his children only that there was 5 girls and 3 boys. What I think I will do is give you Connie's address so that you can write her to get more info and to make sure I gave you all and didn't forget anything which I know I did. There was somethings like I think it was Joseph's dad that came from Linden IN. Also that there was several children also but I am not sure if it was Joseph or his dad whom had all these children. Their names were Lide, Laura, Rett, Pearl, John from Wolcott, Bob and one child whom died. No name. Ada was born 10-7-1878 and died 9-20-1934. So this is what I have so far and Connie's address is Connie Hubler her address is 4485 N. 575 E. Camden IN 46917-9580. You can just let her know that you are my oldest daughter and that I gave you quit a bit of info but you was wanting to know if she could write to you all of what was written in the bible just in case I didn't ! give you all info. I put arrows all around items and I really am not sure if I have it all right and you will need to know which way all went. So you can let her know that I did that or just make a copy of this and send it to her to make sure that I have it right. Now if I don't maybe she can send the correct stuff to you. But you will find out stuff that even grandma V didn't even know. I told her and she was just as surprised too. I am not real sure what all you can find out from here but this is I think all that there is. So good luck. this is some info my mother found and we need to know our link. please help

I have heard from one person who quite by my own mistake is searching for both the Nester /Nestor and Blackburns. and I am waiting for him to answer me again, he is traveling right now. You see, the part of the country is sometimes very important, we all have immigrated, but back then I think most of the related families stayed close to one area. Hazel, Floyd and Ruby do sound familier to me but they also are common names as opposed to Rebecca, and even Rebecca back then was common (Names out of the Bible) Anyway that is why I ask what part of the USA did they live? Also the work they did is important. Start with where they lived if you can. Good luck to you. Try the Family Search site ran by The Saints of Latter Day Saints, they have loads of information. Good luck, Ramona
