Persimmon Nut Bread 3 T. butter 1/4 cup honey 1 egg 1 cup persimmon pulp 1 1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour 1/2 cup whole wheat bread flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. salt pinch of cloves 3/4 cup chopped nuts Cream the butter and honey together, beat in the eggs, then stir in the pulp. Sift dry ingredients together and add the nuts. Mix all this with the liquid ingredients, stirring carefully till just mixed.
