Things have settled down now. The fire is not completely out, and will likely burn for several days back in that timber. They set a backfire east of our house, then went in to the southwest and set one. They ended up not having to set one right around the house, so we didn't have to move vehicles and animals. Boy, and I'm telling you, to move all my animals would have been some kind of job! We are still keeping one eye out just to be safe, but things are looking much better right now.
