Being able to add a child to an unknown parent would be useful.  In census records I often find children living with grandparents, but dont know who their parent is.  They could be children of a married son, or more likely children of unmarried daughter or daughters. I tend to list them in the grandparents notes until I am able to identify the parent,  but the idea of attaching them to an unknown parent is a good idea.   Sue Horsman
