However, where I _am_ using date range, the two options available - event happened between the two dates, and dates are start date and end date - are not always correct, such as for an occupation or residence. Sure, I could put something in the notes, but see no harm in _asking_ for a third option: John can always say no! (I can imagine the _possibility_ that there's only one bit assigned to this matter, which would thus make it impossible, or at least difficult, to expand the list.) At present I can only choose one of two options neither of which is correct, or put the information in in a form (in the notes) that isn't immediately visible. -- J. P. Gilliver.
