If I have two sources I trust (or mistrust) to a similar degree, and they give conflicting, as opposed to just one being broader than the other, dates: I enter two "Born" events. BK doesn't seem to mind! (I presume it picks one of them for reports etc.; I haven't investigated to find out. One would hope it's the first-listed one, but it might be the first-entered one.) I put the relevant sources in the S field, and usually some notes in the N field too, and hope to be able to delete one of the lines in time. -- J. P. Gilliver.
