Hi! When I imported my database into BK I got some information that was not wanted. My previous program had the opportunity to set an event as sensitive or not. This information followed the gedcom file as a note to each event. I want to delete all notes that looks like this: Sensitive:0 Is there any way to delete this note from the database without opening every person and delete it manually? -- Jostein Fauske N-6977 BYGSTAD,Norway mailto:jostein.fauske@c2i.net http://www.zet.no/~josteinf/
To Jostein Fauske You can find those people by going to Lists, Word Search, and on the first tab, in the Notes field type Sensitive: and then click Make List to Edit Then double click on a name to go to that person. Then click on Notes. If the entire note is sensitive, you can change the Print Where column to "Never print" Or you can delete the sensitive part. If I entered "Sensetive:0" I ended up with a list of 3051 names that have to be changed. Maybe I don't fully understand the problem you're having but if you're having a problem with data entered in another genealogy program, can't you go back to that program and delete the unwanted data? If you don't mind me asking, what program was it? Maybe someone here has experience on data manipulation in that program that they share. I think his problem is that he has been using BK for 3 years and has discovered a problem created 3 years ago when he converted to BK.
