Using the latest update to BK, yesterday I created some Gedcoms from some old BK databases which haven't been touched since conversion to BK6 in 2004, and noticed a couple of issues when viewing them in a gedcom reader program. 1) All of the databases included notes and these all appear to be displaying in my gedcom reader program, but the general information section which details the number of people, families, sources etc in the gedcom shows the number of notes as zero for each gedcom, which seems odd. Some of the gedcoms I created yesterday were from databases initially created by importing gedcoms from other researchers into BK - I still have some of these old gedcoms and when I view these in my gedcom viewer the notes are listed as existing in the general information. I haven't edited these notes in any way, so why are they being counted as notes in the original gedcoms, but not in the ones created yesterday by BK? 2. Some of the gedcoms I created yesterday were from data I entered into BK myself (ie not by importing someone else's gedcoms), and when viewing these in my gedcom reader, all the source information is duplicated (eg. "Parish Register, Parish Register"). I suspect that this may be something to do with the way I entered my source information back then, as the gedcoms I created from other people's data do not have this problem. Viewing the gedcom in Notepad I see that each source is listed with the same text under ABBR & NOTE. In BK this information was entered only once in the Source, under Abbreviation (which is ticked), so why is it being duplicated when the gedcom is created? Can anyone advise, please? Many thanks Pauline
