I can't offer an explanation about No.1 as I have never imported a GedCom into BK. I had the same problem with source information being duplicated when printing from a GedCom. This was, indeed, to do with the way I set up my sources originally. If you have (for example) "Parish Register" as the abbreviation and "Parish Register" in the actual text box and both are ticked then both will print. I overcame this by unchecking the abbreviation check box. This is used by BK when listing sources for you to choose from but there is no need for it to be printed. Just tick the "actual text" box and that will print. Some of the gedcoms I created yesterday were from databases initially created by importing gedcoms from other researchers into BK - I still have some of these old gedcoms and when I view these in my gedcom viewer the notes are listed as existing in the general information. I haven't edited these notes in any way, so why are they being counted as notes in the original gedcoms, but not in the ones created yesterday by BK? 2. Some of the gedcoms I created yesterday were from data I entered into BK myself (ie not by importing someone else's gedcoms), and when viewing these in my gedcom reader, all the source information is duplicated (eg. "Parish Register, Parish Register"). I suspect that this may be something to do with the way I entered my source information back then, as the gedcoms I created from other people's data do not have this problem. Viewing the gedcom in Notepad I see that each source is listed with the same text under ABBR & NOTE. In BK this information was entered only once in the Source, under Abbreviation (which is ticked), so why is it being duplicated when the gedcom is created? Can anyone advise, please?
