    3. Hi John Some of the notes are attached to Events and some are on the Notes tab on Edit, & all are internal text files. All the Notes seem to be included in the gedcom OK, and are showing up when I'm viewing individuals in my gedcom viewer program, but in the viewer's General Information about the gedcom, with all the gedcoms I've created with BK, it shows them as having zero Notes. Gedcoms created by other programs, however, are shown in the General Information report as having notes (where there are any). I guess it's not a major issue as the Notes seem to be exporting into the Gedcom OK, but I just wondered why my gedcom viewer program is counting the notes in gedcoms created by other programs, but not in BK gedcoms, even when created from the same original data, and if this indicated something amiss somewhere. Many thanks Pauline On 24/06/2012 13:43, John Steed wrote: > To Pauline akpak@balmnet.co.uk > > When you say Notes do you mean the notes under the Notes tab on Edit > or do you mean something on the Source screen? > > Go to Edit to view the person and see exactly where the note is located. > > There are general notes on the Notes tab for either Individual or Family > > There are also Event Notes attached to the Events grid on the N column. > > And there are notes you can type into a Source for an event. > > When you make a Gedcom file, if you have BK6.4 or 6.5, then turn on > the option there to pick which fields of the source to export.
