Thanks for the reply on the default folder build. I am trying to devise a workable file system for keeping pictures, census, and other downloaded files. In the past, I had not used the photo and media option in BK, but now that I am feeling more confident in want I am doing, I am attaching and using photos and downloaded census images. Which brings me to my next question: do any of you use other applications to keep track of your research, needed to do research, and notes? There is a small program out there called bygones (www.bygonessoftware.com) but I think it is an abandoned application and no longer being updated. The best thing about it is that it is free. The worst thing about it is that it is free! As they say, you get what you pay for! I have tried to use it in the past, and while the concept of bygones is great, I found it hard to use. Maybe I just didn't understand "how" to use it. So do any of you use something like this program to help you in your searches? Would love to hear of other options out there.
