    3. The programme installs itself in C:\Program Files\Brother's Keeper 6 but, as Otto says, you should change the location of the data file away from that folder. I keep everything I create under a master folder called C:\Data which I subdivide as required. There is a subfolder called C:\Data\Brother's Keeper 6 where I keep all my data in sub folders for the 4 different databases I manage -- mine and my wife's and 2 friends. The reason for having a master folder for everything I create is to make it easy to backup. I simply copy C:\Data to an external hard drive periodically, although I back up Brother's Keeper databases every day. At least in my experience. The default programinstallation is told by the program and you should not change that. The program should be installed under C:\Program Files\Brother's Keeper 6\ But you shall not have your personal in that folder or in any subfolder under C:\Program Files\ -- Otto Jørgensen http://www.bkwin.info/ All email is checked by NORTON Remember - Use the Archives at http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/search ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to BK-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
