Several years ago I needed to split a database without changing the User ID numbers that had been assigned as information was added.  I tried for a period of time using the Split Database function but that insisted on re-numbering. I asked the question and was given a proceedure that allowed the split but it was an archane command that I wrote down and saved away. Now I need to do it again but I can't find the command string. I guess I put it someplace safe. I am using Windows XP and BK 6.4. Does anyone know how to split without changing the User ID numbers. All of my records use that number to ID the file and it would be weeks of work to change it for every file. Thanks for the help or sympathy. ee proctor
