    1. Re: [BK] Backing up BK data in 6.5.11

    3. I have an external drive and simply backup to it using the "create file" process in the BK routine (Win XP). The actual backup folders are in a parent folder called "BKbackup" and the child folders are by date of backup, i.e., 20120803 would be the folder name if I did a backup today. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Fran LaChance" <singer.35@hotmail.com> To: <bk@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, August 03, 2012 3:09 PM Subject: Re: [BK] Backing up BK data in 6.5.11 > Mick; > > When I back up to my flash drive I b/up to E:\BK Data\02Aug12 Each back up > has it's own > date so that way I know exactly which one is the latest. > > Fran > > > The Future is as Great as the Promises of God > On 03/08/2012 8:48 AM, Michael Cant wrote: >> Hi all, >> >> Am using Brothers Keeper 6.5.11 on Windows 7 64 bit. >> >> When doing a backup of data from the file menu, it sends the data to a >> flash drive ok, but is there a way to have the data in a folder so I can >> have more than one backup on the drive ? >> >> >> >> With XP I used to copy the folder complete. >> >> Mick. >> >> >> >> >> >> Michael Cant >> >> UK. >> >> >> >> Remember - Use the Archives at >> http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/search >> ------------------------------- >> To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to >> BK-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in >> the subject and the body of the message >> >> > > Remember - Use the Archives at > http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/search > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > BK-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in > the subject and the body of the message
