    3. To Dave Bradshaw When you pick "Ancestors and family of ancestors", you get the children of the ancestors, but not the spouses of the children of the ancestors. If you want a larger group, you can try "Entire Branch" which includes a lot more. If you have picture files attached to people on the Media tab, they will probably end up as picture files if you import it again. Any sound, video, or PDF files will go to the Media tab. The gedcom file just shows what files are attached to people, and the gedcom file does not have a way to specify if a picture file should be picture or media. I am working on a way to create a list of all files that are attached to people in the gedcom file.
