I know, this is probably a stupid question, but better to ask and be sure. I had used BK 6.3 for many years (unregistered). In 2010 I paid for registration and received the 6.4 version on CD and the user's manual. However, I have done nothing with the CD yet. In the manual it does not give any instructions about installing the new version over an older version. I assume I would follow the directions given to install (as though on a computer without any version) and it would, therefore, simply install over the old version? I want to be sure this is what to do. Thanks in advance for any help.

The User-ID and password is in the manual. Your can also buy an update from John, a good idea as there are some video on the CD. Only be sure that the database is not located together withe the program. Th e program is installed at C:/programfiles/ Where the database is located is told on the bottom of the fromtpage- Dont let that be the same -- Otto Jørgensen http://www.bkwin.info/ All email is checked by NORTON
Thank you for your reply. I guess I have a problem as on the bottom of my first screen (the front page) in BK, it has C\:Program Files\Brothers Keeper 6/Bro keep 6. I remember seeing on this forum once that your data should not be under Program Files. The question, of course, is how do I change that and where should the data be? I never have any problem with BK and I use it (and have used it) since probably 1999 or earlier. I'm extremely leery of trying to do any changes myself and I don't know any local people that use BK. -----Original Message----- From: bk-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:bk-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Otto Jørgensen Sent: Thursday, March 15, 2012 12:24 PM To: bk@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [BK] Installing 6.4 over 6.3 On Thu, 15 Mar 2012 11:36:44 -0500, "Bonnie Woolverton" <bonniejw@embarqmail.com> wrote: >I know, this is probably a stupid question, but better to ask and be sure. > >I had used BK 6.3 for many years (unregistered).
