    3. To Gilles Paquette That file is damaged and needs to be repaired by me, or else the friend needs to Restore a recent Backup copy that is not damaged. Have the friend make a new backup to a new CD or a new folder (do not write over a previous backup) Then if the friend has a recent good backup, pick File, Restore database and restore the good backup and then reenter changes since that backup. If there is no recent good backup, let me know. John Steed ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gilles de C. 3. Thank you John, Fotunately, that friend had a recent backup that he restored. He wrote me that he had to re-enter about 100 individuals in his restored database. What puzzled me is the "xcode= 181855" part of the error message. This is not covered in your manual (the one I translated in french). Thanks again for your fast response. 3. To Gilles Paquette The error number 2 is the type of error. The xcode is the record number in the damaged file, like the person number or the source number or whatever file is damaged.
