[] This reminds me of something I have been thinking for some time - for BK, not GedCom: how difficult would it be to make the pathnames relative to where the main BK database is? At present, if they're moved independently, all the pathnames have to be changed within BK. If the concern is that some pictures (etc.) might _not_ be "below" the database (e. g. on a network drive), perhaps something could be done based on whether the path has a colon in it, or starts with a backslash - "pictures\mum.jpg" would be relative, but "N:\videos\grandma's silver.mpg" wouldn't. This would allow a whole BK database _including_ a lot of its media files to be moved as a whole (even within the same computer), without having to change pathnames. Just a thought. -- J. P. To J. P. Gilliver Thanks for the suggestion. If it were easy, I would make an option for relative paths. However, at this point it is not easy to make the change because of several reasons.
