    1. [BK] Output to GedCom

    3. I have recently created a GedCom file from BK then imported it into another programme (Ancestral Author) to extract my own ancestors and the descendants of my earliest recorded ancestor to be compiled into book form with my own text, images and photographs. The descendant and ancestor file have extracted exactly as I wanted except for numerous symbols printed by the side of some ancestors. The symbols are always the same (£Ï_áaƱ). At first I thought these symbols represented where the particular ancestor had a link to an external file on my hard drive but on closer examination this is not always the case. The symbols sometimes appear where there is a link to an internal file and sometimes they do not appear where there is a link to an external file. Does anyone know what these symbols (£Ï_áaƱ) represent and, more importantly, how I can stop them printing in the output? Many thanks. Malcolm Webb mfwebb2005@btinternet.com
