Hi, Is it possible to globally change the quality of a source, lets say from 2 to 3? On the edit source screen, the lower yellowish section doesn't show up. And when modifying a source for an individual, this modification made in the yellowish section is valid only for this particular individual. When one has a few hundred individuals sharing the same source with the same "rating" change it becomes rather cumbersome to go through each one individually. Thanks. Gilles Paquette
To Gilles de C. Paquette I do not currently have a way to globally change a quality of a source for several people. Perhaps I can add it in the future. I like the quality rating of 3 to 0 as it is, but can see the benefit in being able to globally change the rating for a common source. For example, I was given information many years ago from a fellow researcher overseas about a certain branch of my family to which I initially gave a rating of 1. As I checked the information I realised that he was wrong in many instances -- he said people were born in Lidlington Bedfordshire for example, but when I began checking for myself I could not find the events in the Parish Registers. So I downgraded every piece of information from this source to 0. It would have been useful to have been able to do that globally. All the best. I have some nineteenth-century genealogical works that contain numerous errors concerning seventeenth-century families, but which are far more reliable concerning events that occurred within memory of those who were living when the books were written.
