No, I have (say) a man; I want to add (in either order, it doesn't matter) a second wife and their child. I want BK to show that she _is_ a second wife, but I don't want to enter the first wife, even as UNKNOWN or dummy or anything. But John has told me how to do this. >Add parents >Select either father or mother >When you are asked for the other partner, do a bread. I _think_ that has got lost in the translation from Norwegian: "do a bread" doesn't, I think, have a meaning in English. (Not within English BK, anyway: I have seen mention of b-read somewhere.) >The second partner is unknown >Then select a partner to the known partner and you are asked if you >are adding a new or naming the unknown >Name the unknown -- J. There are many ways to do some about the data you enter in BK Many of the ways are put into the manual and many things are told in BK-helpfile. And by using all information and combine them and try many facilities are available. As not all of my users do read English wel (nor I) we have to make Helpfile and other way to inform about the facilites that are not normaly listed >>Add parents >>Select either father or mother >>When you are asked for the other partner, do a bread. > >I _think_ that has got lost in the translation from Norwegian: "do a >bread" doesn't, I think, have a meaning in English. Take a installation and try to use <F1> to see hwo we are presenting our way of solving problems (in our language for all scandinavian)(many users of BK) -- Otto Jørgensen http://www.bkwin.info/ All email is checked by NORTON
