David, Can you in Windows Explorer access the folder c:\Program Files (x86)? My guess is windows permissions are preventing you from finding it. If you can access the folder listed above then look for Microsoft Office folder then just Office folder or Officexx folders. I'm running Windows 7, 64-bit. This came with Word and Excel pre-installed under what is called Microsoft Office Starter 2010. I have gone through every folder possible and there is no "winword.exe" file anywhere. I can not find any file that actually calls Word to start. Clicking on the program icon on the desktop starts the program as expected. Right clicking on the icon brings the drop menu which has options (among others) to go to "Open File Location" or "Properties". Opening either of these shows the file location to be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Virtualization Handler\CVH" Going to that location and clicking CVH (which is shown to be an Application type) simply brings up a box showing that Microsoft Office Starter 2010 - English has loaded. Going to Start>Search and searching for Word shows two programs - "Microsoft Word Starter 2010" and "WordPad". Hovering the cursor over "Microsoft Word Starter 2010" brings up an image which says "Location: CVH (C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Virtualization Handler)", which is the same as above. There seems to be no way at all to call Word other than through the icons. The problem here is that there is no way that BK can call Word (Starter 2010), i.e., there is nothing you can put in BK's File>Options>RTF/Other>Microsoft Word which will actually start Word. BTW, other file folders related to Word do show Office14 so I have the version you refer to and there is no application file in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\ or in C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\. Any ideas? As I understand it, the issue merely relates to the Office version that you are using, not the OS. Office 2010 is version 14 Office 2007 is version 13 etc In BK, under: File - Options - RTF/Other - Microsoft Word you need to change the version number 10 / 11 / 12 / 13 etc to 14 ie change "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\winword.exe" to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\winword.exe" or to wherever the actual winword executable file is located (ie the programme) I have just upgraded from Office 2002 (version 11 from memory) to Office version 14 or as most people call it Office 2010, so have just changed this in the options for BK myself.
